Hello everyone – Here is your message to GET ACTIVE!
You will be aware that Prime Minister Albanese has called the 2025 federal election that will be held on 3 May 2025.
ABA has four key priorities for the 2025 Federal Election:
- Full, 4-year funding for ABA’s Breastfeeding Helpline and LiveChat services.
- Legislation of new controls of the marketing of breastmilk substitutes in Australia that encompass the full scope of the WHO International Code and subsequent WHA resolutions.
- A repeat of the National Infant Feeding Survey in 2025
- Improved access to continuity of maternity care.
As a health professional who provides support for mothers to achieve their breastfeeding goals you will also understand how governmental policy and process can promote and protect infant feeding choices for families. Health professionals are respected voices in our communities. Your views will be valued and are a powerful force for change.
ABA encourages all our professional members and subscribers to actively participate in our democracy in the lead up to the 3 May.
The good news is – we have made it super easy for you to do this.
