Hello everyone

This time of year can be different for different people. Are you winding down or crawling to the finish line or maybe looking forward to a break? All three?  I am having a different experience this year from my previous work in a university. I have not marked a single exam, but I am involved in detailed planning for next year, reflecting on the achievements of 2024 and looking forward to a break in January to recharge.

Here at ABA Professional Express, we are planning to send you a special summer edition of the eNewsletter in early January, but normal service will resume in February 2025. We will have some nice offers for you in the Summer Edition!

Best wishes to you and yours for Good Times in the coming weeks – whatever you are up to.

But first! I do want to draw your attention to the ABA Festive Appeal which is already well and truly in motion. Have you seen the video of Lara yet? Scroll down to hear her tell the amazing story about her two babies and two different breastfeeding experiences. The stories are dramatic and both involve complex medical issues.  However, they also demonstrate beautifully how both professional and peer breastfeeding support can meet women’s needs and help them achieve their breastfeeding goals. I love how together we can do more.

I hope you have also noted that registrations for ABA’s annual Health Professional Seminar Series in March 2025 are now open! Breastfeeding: supporting the journey will visit Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth for LIVE and in- person events and there is also a great online program (6 presentations!) as well. You can read about the speakers and all the event details HERE. Keep an eye on the webpage because new promos and info are being added all the time. And don’t forget the special registration offers for ABA members and for groups of 5 too!

It’s 12 months for me in this role now at ABA and I am looking forward to learning more in my second year, seeing heaps of you at the HP Seminars next year and providing even better options for your clinical practice supporting mums and families. Thanks to all the folks I have met this year and for all your support. I love my job 😊

Warm regards
