Hi everyone,
Welcome to the news for our April edition!
It was fabulous to see so many of you at our Health Professional Seminar Series in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. If you missed out and would still like to catch up on all the presentations, the live sessions were recorded and there is an additional bundle of pre-recorded speakers also. You can register for online viewing here.
In last month’s newsletter we provided you with a wrap up of our recent changes to breastfeeding information on management of mastitis, engorgement and how we talk about reduced flow (blocked ducts) in our member-only Feature Article and this month we have a freely available summary in the form of a downloadable PDF that you can share with your colleagues.
Have you had the chance to join us in asking the Federal Government to commit to the continued funding of the National Breastfeeding Helpline? It isn’t too late. You can still do this via the DoGooder platform. Many are confirming that this is super easy to do and takes only one minute – just enter your post code, name and email address and a letter gets sent off to your Federal MP with your name on it. You can even edit the letter to add your personal thoughts if you have extra time.
Did you know that the Federal Government is undertaking a review of the MAIF agreement? ABA will be meeting with the consulting firm Allen and Clarke to give our input in the coming weeks. You can see the Terms of Reference here. Keep an ear out for the opening of the survey for your chance to provide input!
Thank you for all your ongoing support,
Naomi Hull
