Another month has vanished in what for some I imagine is feeling like ground hog day. I hope that those who are living with tough restrictions are finding ways to manage the downsides of isolation.

Have you seen our brand-new video resources that are freely available to share with your clients? Thank you to Dr Lisa Amir for working with us in the production of these five short videos on popular topics — alcohol and medications, nipple shields, tongue tie, mastitis, sore nipples.

Have you heard that we have now launched a ‘group’ discount for our Professional Membership? If you can get together with at least 4 other friends/colleagues to become members at the same time, you will all receive 10% discount. If you can recruit another 9 friends/colleagues, you will all receive 15% discount. Once you have you group of at least 5, email: abaprofessional@breastfeeding.asn.au with the list of full names and each person’s email address. You will then be provided with an invoice (with each person itemised for tax purposes) for the total amount. Once this is paid, each person will receive a 100% discount voucher code to complete their membership registration.

We welcome Dr Susan Tawia back to the Breastfeeding Information and Research team after a couple of years’ absence. Susan has authored our ‘feature article’ this month, a wrap-up of the research to date on COVID-19 and breastfeeding.

We would like to apologise to anyone who has had difficulty with our Fact Sheets over the last week or so. Unfortunately, the ‘plug in’ that was required for this feature was broken. The issue has now been rectified. Thank you for your patience while this was managed.

We are working on updating our image library. Photos could be used on our websites, in our publications such as Breastfeeding Review and our booklets, in our social media, as part of memes, or in our marketing materials. Do you have a great photo of you working with a mum and baby? If you can gain permission from those in the photo and you would like to share the image with us please email: imagelibrary@breastfeeding.asn.au for more details on how to do this.
